There's a joke that Mennonites come out of their mother's wombs singing four-part harmony. Or is it a joke? I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't sing the tenor line. Singing a third above the sopranos in a song feels as natural to me as breathing. As a young Mennonite boy, we went to church a lot.
