Scott Hamilton was a great pitcher at Asher, went on to pitch for Enos Semore at OU in the mid-‘80s and now is the pastor of the Silo Baptist Church outside Durant. I covered Hamilton while he pitched for the Sooners and I wrote for the Norman Transcript, and we still correspond from time to time.
