The date was June 2, 1989. The time was 8 p.m. The location was Hwy. 48 near 18th Avenue, Markham. This rendezvous with mortality occurred 28 years ago, for me and four others. Thanks to a miracle we all survived. The evening began like most back then, a 15-minute trip to pick up daughter Mary-Lynn....
