Evacuations forced as California worries torrential downpour will bring mudslides and flooding About 1,000 homes in Glendora and Azusa, outside Los Angeles, were forced to evacuate because the area lost trees and during fires last year. The heavy rain, maybe 1 to 2 inches per hour, could bring mudslides to the area.
