Janina Fialkowska can sometimes be her own biggest critic. When she listens to recordings of her performances, the pianist says she feels unnerved and will pick out certain notes she perhaps should have played differently. "That's the beauty of being a pianist. It never stays the same," Fialkowska told CBC Radio's Saskatchewan Weekend.
