Irv Weinstein, that legendary anchorman with the distinctive voice and bombastic delivery, was given a name people loved to forget. He would be called Herman, Ernie, Phil almost never Irwin, the name his parents gave him when he was born in Rochester on April 29, 1930. When he started in broadcasting, Weinstein changed his name.
