APIA, Samoa (August 9, 1999 – Radio Australia)---The son of a murdered Samoan Cabinet minister has pleaded for his father's killer to be spared the death sentence. A mandatory death sentence has been imposed on Eletise Leafa Vitale, who pleaded guilty in the Apia Supreme Court to murdering Works Minister Luagalau Levaula Kamu.
