Bishop: Package ‘will help with the immediate needs of those affected’ MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, April 8, 2014, 2014) –Australia's Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has announced a $3 million [US$2.8 million] aid package to help Solomon Islands recover from a major flood disaster which has killed 23 people and left 9,000 homeless.
