| Mickey Marvin, former NFL star from mountains, dies at 61 |

Henderson County, N.C. (WLOS) — Former NFL star and Henderson County resident Mickey Marvin lost his battle with ALS on Monday, according to his family. The two-time Super Bowl champion died at 61 years old. Marvin played football at Brevard and West Henderson high schools before heading to the University of Tennessee.
