Speaking to the Ryan Tubridy Show on RTE Radio One, Susan said: "A very good friend who was gay and who was also from a religious background, she took her life, and it was then I said I'm not doing this anymore. It was turmoil all the time. "She was out to her family but she found it very difficult to be living a gay life.
