The Queen traditionally spends Christmas at Sandringham House with her family, at the heart of the 20,000-acre Sandringham Estate. The trip to Norfolk has become an important part of the Royal calendar and the Queen and Prince Philip usually stay until after the anniversary of her father's death on 6 February.
