Norway’s proposed purchase of five Boeing P-8 maritime surveillance aircraft has been approved by the U.S. State Department. The deal is valued at more than $1.7 billion. Congress still needs to give the okay but that is expected without any issues. Norway operates a fleet of six P-3 aircraft.
