COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley plans to seek about $64 million in next year's budget to cover damage to the state from Hurricane Matthew not covered by federal emergency aid. The governor's office released estimates Wednesday that found the state has to pay about $33.
