| ‘This is not hunting’: Elk gunned down near Ellensburg; reward offered |
|
The elk were found in a row, lined up as if they had been walking or running when they were shot dead. Four calves and a cow were cut down by bullets sometime on the morning of Nov. 6 among the sagebrush and grasses on state land near Ellensburg. Some of the animals were shot more than once.
“This is not hunting,” said Deputy Chief Michael Hobbs.
