, died aged 79. Born “Maureen” to parents William Edward and Florence May Merris on January 25, 1937 in West Bromwich, “Mo” grew up in the heart of The Black Country. She disliked school intensely, struggling with reading and academics but found a joy of cooking in home economics, which became her life-long passion.
