Democratic sources told the Washington Blade that Aiken, a native of Raleigh, is weighing a bid to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 2nd District as a Democrat. The 35-year-old former “American Idol” contestant didn’t speak directly with the Blade, a gay newspaper.
