At 10.30am on May 27, 1942, Czech freedom fighters Josef Gabcik and Jan Kubis executed a daring plot to eliminate one of the most evil and powerful figures in the Nazi hierarchy. As Reinhard Heydrich’s open-topped Merc purred through Prague, Gabcik stepped in front of the limo and squeezed the trigger of his Sten sub-machine gun.
