| Reaching way back for a couple of clinching victories in the World Series |
|
As the Chicago Cubs battle the Cleveland Indians in the World Series, a couple of key dates come to mind: Oct. 12, 1908: The Cubs defeat the Detroit Tigers 2-0 in Game 5 to win the World Series for the second year in a row. As we well know, the Cubbies haven't won one since. That's 108 years and counting.
