Sterling N. Brewer, a World War II veteran who announced wrestling matches at Boutwell Auditorium for many years before starting his own advertising agency and driving a school bus for Hoover schools, left a silver-voiced legacy in Birmingham. Brewer died Sept. 30. He was 90.
