The new series "Frequency" (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) is based on the 2000 movie of the same title. The premise is basically the same, with a couple of changes for TV. First, the lead character is female instead of male. And, second, the TV characters are a decade (or more) younger than the movie characters.
