A close-up study of Jupiter commenced on August 27 with the spacecraft probe Juno sending back amazing photographs of the planet and reams of scientific information about the solar system. By close-up I mean what is to space a mere 2,600 miles, the closest Juno will go as it does 36 orbital flybys around Jupiter over the next two years.
