True crime historian Rob Sberna first heard about Cleveland police officer Jim Simone when he was researching the Ariel Castro case in 2013. Castro had kidnapped three Cleveland girls and held them hostage in is house for years. Simone pulled Castro over for a traffic stop shortly before his secret was discovered.
