DAVE Le'aupepe wanted people to hate his debut album. The frontman of Sydney indie rock band Gang of Youths knew he had created a special record when they released their intensely beautiful concept album The Positions in April, taking the emotions he experienced as a 21-year-old whose wife was being treated for stage four cancer.
