Two young people have been injured, one seriously, in a house fire in Timaru this morning. Fire crews were called to the blaze in Church Street shortly before 6am. A 19-year-old woman was flown to Christchurch Hospital with serious burns, while a 21-year-old man who suffered minor injuries was treated and discharged from hospital.
