MANILA - A Roman Catholic bishop contradicted Sen. Manny Pacquiao's declaration that the capital punishment is allowed by God. In an interview with Radio Veritas, Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said that Jesus Christ, who was condemned to death by the Roman Empire, preached for mercy, not "eye for an eye" and "a tooth for a tooth.
