Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is reported to have ruled out Kevin Rudd’s bid to head the United Nations after Federal Cabinet angrily split on whether to formally back his nomination. After a long discussion inside Cabinet yesterday, ministers could not agree whether to back Mr Rudd’s application to become UN secretary-general.
