Internally displaced families continue to occupy schools operated by the Catholic Church in Wau town in South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal State, affecting this year’s schooling, an administrator said. Fighting in Wau town between the government forces and armed groups has resulted in the displacement of thousands of people from their homes.
