Cruz joined a group of protesters in prayer outside the White House on Thursday seeking 'spiritual intervention' for Pastor Saeed Abedini. Abedini has been held in Iran because of his Christian beliefs. The peaceful rally occurred one day before Cruz's Senate filibuster to defund Obamacare was rejected.
