William L. Armstrong, a Colorado media executive who became a major conservative voice in the Senate, died July 5. He was 79. He had cancer, according to an announcement from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colo., where Mr. Armstrong had served as president since 2006. Other details were not immediately available.
