| Family, fellow officers gather for funeral of Hillsborough deputy killed in wrong-way crash |
|
Sheriff David Gee was one of several speakers at the funeral of John Robert Kotfila Jr., one of his deputies, who was killed last week in a crash with a wrong-way driver. He noted Kotfila's bravery and tenacity, of how he died saving the life of someone else. But the sheriff spoke of more than just the fallen deputy.
