The Canberra Times ' cartoonist David Pope has been recognised at the prestigious Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism, winning an award for his cartoon On the night of the Hebdo massacre in Paris, Pope drew a cartoonist shot dead by an attacker with the words "He drew first".
