A pedestrian bridge over the Southfield Freeway has been replaced more than a year after it was pulled onto the freeway by a passing truck. The Michigan Department of Transportation issued a news release today saying the bridge has reopened to pedestrians. About $2.9 million in emergency federal funds were used for the work.
