Also on Tuesday, Mr Albanese said Australia Day was a 'difficult day' for the country's First Nations who suffered 'dispossession' and 'violence' at the hands of British colonisers. In contrast, Prime Minster Scott Morrison gave a more upbeat message, saying the day was a chance to reflect on Australia's success as a multicultural nation.
