Prime Minister Tony Abbott is facing internal pressure to open the way for an additional special humanitarian intake of Syrian refugees. A number of ministers have signalled plans to raise the issue at today's Cabinet meeting. Australia has committed to take 13,750 refugees from across the world this financial year.
