A member of NPHET says the coronavirus reproduction rate has risen to between 0.7 and 0.9. The HSE's also raised concerns that the recent progress in reducing the spread of Covid 19 has stalled. Health officials said the R number was around 0.6 last week - close to the target set when Level 5 was brought in.
