Clive Palmer will announce his candidate for the by-election in the West Australian seat of Canning on Friday. The Palmer United Party (PUP) won 12.3 per cent of the vote in the WA Senate election re-run in April 2014 and 6.9 per cent of the primary vote in Canning at the 2013 federal election.
