COVID-19-related hospitalizations in El Paso have spiked from 178 at the beginning of October to 853 in three weeks. And the total of 1,443 new cases barrels past the record broken on Thursday with 1,161 cases reported.

EL PASO – With hospitals filled to capacity, Texas' sixth-largest city reported 1,443 coronavirus cases Monday, hours after the county imposed a nightly curfew and urged residents to stay home for the next two weeks as it grapples with one of the nation’s biggest virus outbreaks.
