After the fall of the Wall, Ursula Schank soon took early retirement. After being hit by a car on her bike, she had to use a walker. She knitted, went to church, met up with former colleagues for a coffee with milk or a Prosecco in the “Extrablatt”. She never wanted a television. When Torsten bought her one anyway, she put it away the same evening.
