| Denying Hong Kong ‘genuine universal suffrage’ may lead to violence |

One of the organisers of the Occupy Central movement warned on Thursday that a denial of “genuine universal suffrage” in Hong Kong could force people to emigrate or resort to violent tactics. Dr Benny Tai Yiu-ting, an associate professor of law at the University of Hong Kong, made the remarks on a Commercial Radio programme on Thursday.
