Ed Sheeran, 29, was born in Halifax on February 17, 1991 and was raised in Suffolk by his father who is an art curator and his mum who is a jewellery designer. Ed began singing at a local church choir at the age of four, learned how to play guitar at the age of 11 and began songwriting while studying at Thomas Mills High School.
