Andy Burnham has been strongly critical of the Welfare Bill. Labour did not take a "strong enough position" over the government's Welfare Bill and is "crying out for leadership", Andy Burnham has said. But the leadership hopeful said he had agreed to abstain on the key vote because he was "not prepared to split the party".
