Leaders were slow to bring COVID-19 testing to Latino communities. Now people are sick.

Hundreds of people line up July 3 for free COVID-19 testing in the parking lot of Lodi, California's Rancho San Miguel Market. It was mid-June in California's Central Valley, and Dr. Patricia Iris was alarmed. Every COVID-19 patient at Lodi Memorial that day was Latino, even though Latinos make up only 39% of the city’s population.
