A Gloucestershire headteacher has told how he covered a statue of Edward Colston with a sheet when he was in charge of a top Bristol school built with money from the slave trader. Forest High head John Whitehead has spoken of a battle to remove the cult of Colston when he was principal at Colston’s Girls’ School (CGS).
