Charlestown based Sinn Fein Councillor Gerry Murray has been elected as Cathaoirleach of the Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District. He was elected to the position at yesterday’s meeting and takes over from Fine Gael’s Tom Connolly. The new Leas-Cathaoirleach is Foxford based Fine Gael Councillor Neil Cruise.
