(CNN) — While police leaders join protesters in denouncing the death of George Floyd, those behind the violence in cities across the country are also getting more diverse. Floyd, 46, died one week ago after a Minneapolis officer pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes, 46 seconds. His final words included “Mama” and “I can’t breathe.
