| Courts ditch holy books |

HOLY books are no longer required for witnesses or jurors to swear on before their court duties, the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago announced last week. As of May 11, the Oaths Act was amended by the proclamation of the Miscellaneous Amendments Act, 2020. The announcement was made on Wednesday on the judiciary’s Facebook page.
