For 30 years, eight boxes of reel-to-reel tapes bearing the label “George Jones albums” rested abandoned and forgotten in a bank vault in New Orleans. Six years and a court battle spanning two states later, those same boxes now sit in a bank vault in Benton County, Tennessee.
