On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 5, police were called to a serious incident in Penygraig, Rhondda. A murder investigation has since been launched after an elderly man, who was allegedly stabbed on Tylacelyn Road, died. Tributes have been paid to the victim John Rees, 88 from Treawlaw, who was described as a "lovely gentleman".
