SPRINGFIELD — Paul Kalill was a devoted family man, decorated Vietnam veteran, political junkie, successful attorney, academic, onetime advisor to a U.S. president — and a committed maintainer of lifelong friendships. He died Tuesday night from COVID-19 at the age of 77.
