The Bulldogs won 19 of their first 20 games, climbing to No. 11 in The Associated Press poll. 19-1! Butler lost to LSU 75-71 in the first round of the 2009 NCAA tournament. Since 2001, it is Butler’s only first-round loss (11-1). But the outcome reinforced what the Bulldogs believed.
